Top Nigerian music celebrity and former artiste on Kennis Music label, Lekan Fadeyi, popularly known as Azadus, paid tribute to late former super eagles captain and head coach of the team, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, who died in Benin city, Edo state in the early hours of Wednesday, June 8th, 2016, at the age of 54.

Azadus in his tribute, which was made available on social media, wrote an article, which were, in the lyrics of a song titled “Say Me Well” on his debut album, while he was a Kennis music label artiste.

The article reads thus:

“It is unfortunate, it is a sorry case, our hero just passed away and could have made a change ooooo……..our bird flew away out of the cage, she said that the cage, was not her place.

I wish I could fly, but I have no wingssssssssss………….when you get to our home, say me well to Abiola(MKO), when u get to our home, say me well to Dele Giwa, Samuel Okwaraji and Rashidi Yekini.

After you bypass the narrow path, must say me to the angels and after you walk through the borders, must say me to the Father.

Stephen Keshi, your name has been tattooed all over our bodies and carefully engraved on the walls of our hearts. You came, you saw, you conquered and now you’ve successfully reminded us all that the death curse is still upon us all.

Until we see and part no more…………RIP Coach”.

If you ask me, those were deep, very deep words Azadus to Stephen Keshi.

While a fan was trying to inform Azadus, that the song is actually, a mesmerizing, evergreen tune, Azadus, maintained that he wasn’t trying to gain attention on the song, but to feel the regrettable loss, of Stephen Keshi.

Definitely, the world is mourning the passing away, of the football hero and I also say RIP to Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, may God give his family to grace to bear the irreplaceable loss.
