What are your favorite new videos? I seem to enjoy Darey’s new works and Phyno’s Fada Fada is off the hinges. Oritsefemi featuring Reekado banks is one I didn’t see coming and it seems so perfect.

A lot of collaborations in this first half of the year which in some way shows unity among the industry. Which is your favorite Collaboration this year?

I sure would love to see a track/video from M.anifest (Ghana) , Olamide and Phyno for one, 2baba, Darey and Timi Dakolo would definitely epic.

Timaya | I Like The Way

Released in January, this video didn’t not start gaining rapid views until the end of March till April ending. It has seen over 4934 shares, and gained 529 subscriptions from people who viewed the video.

Timaya has been one of the most successful Nigerian artistes in the last 10 years, and although it seems like a new era, he continues to drop relevant music in today’s Nigerian music world.

This video drops to No 10 spot this week and was Last week’s new entry. Is it on its way out and his new Jam Money Featuring Flavour on its way in?

Yemi Alade | Ferrari (Drops 1 spot)

Nearly a week goes by since it’s release that this video doesn’t get played over 200k times. Slowly, Yemi Alade continues to re-affirm her dominance in the music industry.

And there’s been speculations that Yemi Alade’s Ferrari is a reply to Davido’s massive track Aye. Read the review here: Is Yemi Alade’s Ferrari, a response to Davido’s Aye?

Following the release of Yemi Alade’s critically acclaimed sophomore album “Mama Africa (The Diary of an African Woman)”; the Effyzzie Music diva releases the music video for “Ferrari”.

The high-life track which is produced by DJ Coublon and features strings from Fiokee serves as the album’s official third single; following the dance anthem “Do As I Do” featuring DJ Arafat and the Selebobo assisted gratitude preaching hit “Na Gode”.

The music video for “Ferrari” was shot by the award-winning Clarence Peters and features Nollywood heartthrob Kunle Remi. Watch, share, enjoy and buy “Mama Africa (The Diary Of An African Woman)”!

Zoro ft Flavour | OGENE

Officially the visual pride of the Ibos, this jam featuring flavour continues to rise fast since it’s release 23rd of April.

A late bloomer, it began to amass views just after about 10days after it was published. Could it be the car Flavour was driven or the crowd or the fact that Clarence shot it?

Whatever the reason, it seems to be getting a lot of support from my eastern brothers. Big up Zoro, hope to see a jam with you and Phyno.

Olamide | Abule Sowo

Climbs one spot from S1 E5‘s chart

Excerpts from S1 E1 edition:

Baddoo, the musically confidence of coughing out hits after hits like he just goes under his pillow to pick up ideas and lyrics releases this video.

Just a week after dropping the single to mark his adding another year to his age, king of the street, Olamide, drops the official visual to the hitmaker “Abule Sowo”.

Taking it back to the roots with costume, location and not forgetting to mention the song in itself, this is just another dope creation from Olamide.

Tekno Miles | Where

Tekno is no small name in tunes from the last 365 days featuring one or 2 tracks in most DJ mixes especially his most played tune – Duro.

Duro which has had over 8 million plus views in the 8 months since it’s release is one of the most catchy tunes of the 2015/2016.

He’s back with this new video which is rich in his usual dance gimmicks and playfulness and of course beat to bad. And within 10 days of release, this video has over 400k plus views and counting.

2Baba | Coded Tinz ft. Phyno, Chief Obi

Another late bloomer online but no doubt a contend-able from Nigeria’s foremost and most achieved talent.

2baba seems to be tired of the girls coming to a date with her friends, according to this dance hall video featuring Ibo boy rapper Phyno.

Banky W ft Chidinma | All I want is You (New entry)

Climbs up to no 4 spot on the chart.

This beautiful Song produced by T.K; the video was Written, Produced & Directed by Banky W for EME & TILT Productions, and shot in Lagos Nigeria.

Banky playfully takes on tribalism with this video… it’s a modern day Nigerian Love story, where we see Banky & Chidinma’s characters falling for each other, despite the disapproval of her parents (two of Nigeria’s most legendary and iconic Entertainers, Zack Orji & Onyeka Onwenu).

In these days when the term #YorubaDemons has both been a cause for humor and concern, the video playfully shows just what lengths one can go to fight for the chance to love.

New Video of the week

Darey | Pray For Me

This dude can really sing and displays maturity and talent anytime. Just weeks after the release of Asiko Laiye remix featuring Olamide comes “Pray For Me” which tells a powerful, positive story of victory against all odds.

Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva, Nollywood veterans render a beautiful intro to the video, and although Olu Jacobs scene continued within the clips, it was a pleasure seeing Mama J as fondly referred to briefly.

To be frank, with several videos coming out this month/week, the choice this week based plays and stats was between Darey and Phyno‘s Fada Fada featuring Olamide. U should see that video…for up to date Nigerian Music Videos, see the top Playlist here: Naija New Music Video Playlist

Poorest performed Video of the week

Base One ft Phyno & Olamide | Werey Re RMX

Aquila record’s ‘Headies 2015 Rookie Of The Year’ nominee, Base One in Werey Rmx ft Phyno & Olamide. Top Ten Naija Music Videos S1 E6

We really hoped the 2 rap symbols would have helped this video performed well since it’s release in Feb.

Online, it’s not lived up to its expectation in terms of fans acceptance, playbacks and shares.
