AHBEAwards Set To Honor Entertainers and Entrepreneurs
The organisers of Afro-Heritage Broadcasting and Entertainment Award (ahbeawards) has unveiled the 2018 award recipients. The award coming up this year, on the 20th of October, 2018 at the Expo Event Centre, in Houston, Texas, USA, is in its 4th edition and it aim to annually award African personalities in various field, which include sports, broadcasting, entrepreneur and entertainment.
The award event aim to honour Africans who have distinguished themselves in their chosen field in Icon and Legend category. AHBEAwards during the past editions has honoured various Africans from different countries of the continent namely Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa to name a few.
Here are the 2018 awardees to be honoured at the event this year, Kareem Adepoju (Nigeria), Hilda Dokubo (Nigeria), Zeb Ejiro (Nigeria), Toyin Adegbola (Nigeria), Lydia Forson (Ghana), Fathia Balogun (Nigeria), Ali Nuhu (Nigeria), Kofi Adjorlolo (Ghana), Adewale Ayuba (Nigeria), Adewale Rasaq (Nigeria), Georgina Onuoha (Nigeria), Segun Arinze (Nigeria), Aralola Olamuyiwa (Nigeria), Lenny Juma (Kenya), Dr. Tope Agbeyo (Nigeria), Tony Elumelu (Nigeria), Solomon Abiodun Majekodunmi (Nigeria) among others, according to the Project Co-ordinator, popular Nigerian movie, iconic actor and multiple award winning film director, Mr. Yomi Fashlanso.
According to the President, AHBEA awards planning committee, Prince Sola Olaniyan, in a chat with Naija Online TV revealed that the 2018 edition of the annual event promises to be more exciting and full of fun, glitz and glamour as the event on the 20th of October, 2018 will be anchored by Nigerian creative actor and popular Comedian, Okey Bakassi, including performances by African artistes based on the continent and in diaspora such as, Orezi, Jaywon, Gbenga Adeyinka, Dr. Smile, Baba Tee, Jemiriye among others.
