FG, Bangladesh launch postage stamps
The Nigerian Postal Service and the Bangladesh High Commission have jointly issued a set of commemorative postage stamps in honour of the Bangladesh Father of nation, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Speaking at the launch at the Bangladesh High Commission in Abuja, the Postmaster-General of the Federation, Dr Ismail Adewusi, said the commemorative stamp was a gesture of Nigeria in strengthening the already affable relationship between the two countries.
Nigeria issued its first postage stamp about 146 years ago, a concept that has continued to grow and expand to include collaboration between countries.
Meanwhile, the Corporate Affairs Commission has endorsed Nigerian Postal Service, EMS/Parcel as one of the official couriers of the commission.
The NIPOST, in a statement, said the endorsement followed the success in the interview conducted by CAC for prospective courier companies.
NIPOST stated that business transactions would commence officially on 1st September 2020.
It added that with the new development, NIPOST was officially endorsed to accept and deliver the certificates of incorporation from clients across the country.
