In response to the order given by its leader Nnamdi Kanu to organize a protest when President Muhammadu Buhari arrives in Japan to attend the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development, members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), have held a protest today, Monday, August 26, in Tokyo.
The IPOB members took to the streets protesting what they term as discrimination against the Igbos, mass killings, and the right to self-determination.
President Buhari departed Abuja for Japan yesterday evening August 25th.
The order by Kanu came on the heels of the beating and harassment given to former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu on August 17 when he went to participate in the annual New Yam Festival held in Nuremberg.
