Louis Saha believes Pogba’s United’s only ‘world-class player’
As per the 41-year-old, the midfielder is the only one in the team who has enough quality to play for United.
The Frenchman claims this is why his compatriot often gets criticized.
The former Reds’ striker points out the 26-year-old just doesn’t have anybody to help him.
Manchester United have not enjoyed a perfect start to the Premier League campaign. After beating Chelsea 4-0 in the opening day, the Reds have not managed to win any of the following three games – 1-1 draws against Wolverhampton and Southampton, and a 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace.
Former Old Trafford striker Louis Saha would believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s main issue is the club’s relatively average squad.
While Paul Pogba is often criticized by the Red Devils’ fans, the 41-year-old has told Astro SuperSport the midfielder’s the only one at the team who has enough quality to actually play for United:
“He’s got the potential to be one of the best – Ballon d’Or potential.
“No disrespect to the other players but he could say ‘I’m the only one here who could claim to be a world-class player right now’. At the same time, he’s always going to be on the spot because he is the only one.
“If he doesn’t perform there’s no-one that’s going to be asked more from. Pogba tries his best but sometimes there’s no-one there to help him.
“And who’s going to get criticised for not performing? It’s going to be Pogba.”
