Thursday evening’s Champions League Group Stage draw was highlighted by the long-anticipated reunion of the world football’s eternal rivals, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The duo were nominated for two awards with Messi scooping the UEFA Best Forward and Virgil van Dijk beating both superstars for the UEFA Best Player.
In any case, clearly, Messi and Ronaldo have a lot of things to talk about as they pictured several times chatting with each other.
After the draw, Messi speaks about his long-time foe: “It was nice having Cristiano Ronaldo in La Liga. Now he is at another great club and we watch him from Spain.”
Previously, Cristiano Ronaldo has praised Messi several times as the Portuguese striker has even lamented the fact that the two of them have never had dinner together.
