Ondo State Partners Dubai Company On Seaport Development, Renewable Energy, Mining
In furtherance of the present administration in Ondo State to attract more investors and industrialise the State, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN in currently in the United Arab Emirates to participate in the ongoing 9th Edition of the Annual Investment Meeting of Dubai.
Subsequently, Governor Akeredolu has signed Memorandum of Understanding with the Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Dalmook Al Maktoum.
The MoU is to enable Ondo State Government and the Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Dalmook Al Maktoum collaborate in the development of a seaport, mining, energy and the digitalisation of internally generated revenue collection in the State. The MoU reads as follows :
“Memorandum of understanding between Ondo State Government and the Private Office of His Highness Sheikh Dalmook Al Maktoum.
In accordance with the terms of this MOU the Parties have expressed their intention to collaborate and work together on the following business opportunities:
1) Sea Port and Infrastructure development
2)Mining and Exploration of various minerals in Nigeria
3)Setting up new conventional, renewable and hybrid power projects including the potential to re-power existing power plants:
4)Explore the potential to develop Oil Blocks and Strategic Storage Terminals:
5)Developing cashless solutions for internally generated revenues (IGR) on direct assessment: and
6)Any other projects of mutual interest”
