The 21st of October, 2017, was a day to remember as an array of African stars gathered at the Ayva center, Richmond avenue, Houston, Texas to witness the 3rd edition of Africa’s most prestigious media entertainment awards (Ahbea awards, 2017 edition). The President of the award’s planning committee, USA based Nigerian born, entertainment promoter and event organiser, Mr. Sola Olaniyan with the project coordinator, prolific, versatile, ace, iconic, Nigerian film actor and director, Mr. Yomi Fashlanso made this press statement available to Naija Online TV, here are the excerpt.

First we would like to thank God who made it possible despite all odds.

Then to all media houses both prints and online from Kenya, Ethiopia, Liberia, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Cameron, Sierra Leone, Ghana, to Nigeria. We say thank you so much for the support from inception of preparation for the 3rd Edition of Afro Heritage Broadcasting & Entertainment Awards (AHBEA) which came up in Houston TX on the 21st of October 2017 to the event day proper. We owe the success of the event to you all.

Also to all our African brothers and sisters that turned out for the event coming down to Houston TX from many African countries we say a big thank you. Your love for the event is our energizing tonic needed. We pray a journey mercy back to your various countries and abode.

To all our brand supporters too numerous to mention we say thanks for the believe in what we do. Thanks for the partnership in making africa PROUD. We are forever indebted to you all in making sure the event gets better and better each year.

Lastly to all our recipients for the 3rd Edition of Ahbeawards we thank you so much for giving us your support, sparing your time from pre to pro and to post. You’re all PRIDE to Africa. You’re all world stars from Africa. You’re Africa’s ambassador to the rest of the world. May your stars continue to shine endlessly.
