Gerard admits that he had a private talk with Neymar recently.
With a bitterness, he reminded of the times when he played poker with the Brazilian.
Pique claims that the club is working hard to bring the Brazilian back.
After a successful European Poker Tournament held in Barcelona, Gerard Pique was asked about his attitude towards likely return of Neymar.
"Neymar? We would love him to come back but it’s not a decision that depends on us.
"The operation is open and anything can happen…He [Neymar] has certainly been thinking correctly these past few days and did what he had to do," admitted the 32-year-old.
In an interview with Express Sport, Gerard nostalgically reminded of the times when he and Neymar used to take part in big poker competitions together.
"For sure, yesterday I was very lucky to finish second and I shared it with him because I know that he loves poker, and so do I, "We shared this hobby."
Pique also confirmed that the two had a private talk about the Brazilian’s future.
"We have spoken yeah," the 32-year-old added.
"But obviously it is a private conversation."
By the way, Gerard was the one to assure Barca fans that Neymar would stay at Camp Nou back in summer 2017. However, several days after his "Se Queda" ("He stays") post, the Brazilian left for Paris Saint-Germain to complete one of the most surprising transfer moves ever.
