Plane carrying six people crashes into US home
Multiple people are feared dead after a small plane crashed into a home in the US state of Utah.
Six people were on board the Piper PA-32 when it crashed in the city of West Jordan around 1.40pm Saturday afternoon local time, the country’s Federal Aviation Administration has reported.
The crash ingited a huge fire at the property, injuring one person inside the home. (Weekend Today)
The crash ignited a ferocious blaze, which damaged three nearby homes.
A person inside one of the properties was also injured in the crash, US media have reported.
Footage of the scene shows the burnt-out shell of the aircraft in the backyard as the worst-affected home stands in ruins, the framework all that remains standing on one side of the building.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but not before much of the home was burnt to the ground.
The Federal Aviation Administration is at the scene beginning its investigation into what sparked the crash.
