A top Nigerian media personality, society news writer, foremost journalist and the Editor of soft sell news publication, Global Excellence magazine, has revealed what in his own opinion a problem to Nigeria’s music house, (PMAN). Here are the full details.

Knowledge and experience are valuable wealth, for developing and improving the society.

Older adults make valuable contributions to the society, both material and immaterial, and younger generations benefit from their experience.

This is not the case with PMAN, the body that is the umbrella, for all Nigerian music practitioners.

Unlike its counterpart movie industry, where elders take charge of the administration and are still very active participants, installing foundations for progress, PMAN is a tragedy.

Although age and experience, are considered as essential resources, to societal welbeing and survival, in PMAN, development and cohesion face the risk of complete erosion, as elders who contributed to the industry’s success, are completely sidelined in making decisions since the days of the iconic Charly Boy.

As younger, less experienced fellas these days struggle to lead from the front in PMAN, older elements are subjugated and suppressed under the yoke of social devaluation and poverty.

In saner climes, elders actively and effectively produce and promote policies and programmes that improve people’s quality of life.

The youths have hijacked PMAN and elders are made non -significant, in policy making. PMAN’s, is a sorry story and a good example of how to raise a disorganized society.

Although, young people have a proven capability to lead change, not just in PMAN, and are a vital and valuable investment for now and the future, it’s important to have adults actively involved in planning and leading, they are needed to be allies in bringing important perspectives, knowledge, experience, skills, and connections into the system, he concludes by saying.
