Omoba Yisa Olusola Adeniyi Olaniyan was born on September 05 1967 to the family of Late Prince Hamzat Akanbi and Madam Muyibat Olaniyan at Ilashe Compound of Ipokia. He did his elementary education at United African Methodist Church Primary School, Eleja and attended Community Secondary school in 1982 both at Ipokia.
In 1988 after his secondary education, he moved from Ipokia to live with his uncle in Lagos and while vigorously searching for admission into a higher institution, in order to get himself busy, he applied and got a job with a company called Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) at the Murtala Muhammad International airport Ikeja as a flight dispatch officer from 1989, where he was attached to handle Lufthansa German Airlines during those years.
In his quest for higher education, he got admitted into Lagos state polytechnic Isolo in 1995, but as God will have it, he had barely started his first semester when he played and won US visa lottery, with that he then relocated to United States in 1996. Currently, Yisa is pursuing his MBA at The university of Houston.
While in the United States, he attended The University of Houston, Downtown and obtained Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. He also got various certifications in Quality Assurance with over 15 years experience in Quality control, a field he choose to work while attending school and continued to develop in even after school.
Yisa Is the President/CEO of Afro-Heritage Entertainment Company and the President/Chairman of AHBEAwards based in Houston Texas, USA, while he still work presently as a Quality Control Supervisor with Emerson Processing Management, Oil & Gas Company as an independent contractor.
He is also the Executive Director of a renewable energy company called NSB worldwide Inc. in Houston Texas.
His passion for entertainment led him into starting an entertainment company about 12 years ago, and then moved on to creating an annual Awards event in 2015 named Afro-Heritage Broadcasting & Entertainment Awards ‘AHBEA’ with the input of a few individuals in Nigerian entertainment industry after numerous years of experience in artistic promotion & production with te help of a strong relationship among Nigerian Nollywood artistes, this award event was put together to honor and appreciate entertainment veterans & professionals in African and in the last three years of putting it together, AHBEAwards has had the honor to celebrate top entertainment gurus like Prince Bisi Olatilo, Tade Ogidan, Pete Edochie, Hon Dayo Adeneye D1, Madam Idowu Philips, Madam Liz Benson, Raymond Ofula from Kenya and many more in Houston Texas, the United States of America. AHBEAwards continues to grow faster than expected among other the African entertainment award events.
Yisa Olaniyan is married to Folasade Olaniyan, with two boys, Olusola Olaniyan jr & Robert Ayobami Adewale Olaniyan.
