Rapper Ginuwine becomes granddad at 49
Rapper Ginuwine has celebrated the birth of his granddaughter.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday night, the 49-year-old Pony hitmaker shared a photo of himself proudly holding Sage Lotus, the baby girl of his ex stepdaughter Cypress Soleil Lee.
His caption began, ‘My new Gb ….Sage Lotus …I love when there’re this age and quite and so precious [sic].’
‘Welcome to the World baby girl’ concluded the singer.
New mom Cypress is the daughter of Ginuwine’s ex wife Solé, whom he divorced in 2015.
Between them, the former couple have nine children. They have two daughters together, Story and Dream Sarae Lumpkin, while Ginuwine -real name Elgin Baylor Lumpkin- has five children from previous relationships.
Solé -whose real name is Tonya Michelle Johnston- has two children from previous relationships: Cypress and Dejan.
Proud grandmother Solé also acknowledged the happy news in her own Instagram post.
The 4, 5, 6 rapper captioned a picture of Sage Lotus, ‘My baby had a baby. Words can’t describe the magic of assisting your arrival into the world. I love you so much!’
The 6lbs 8oz baby girl was delivered on Sunday, May 17.
