Robbers attack ex footballer Ashley Cole at his mansion
A gang of Balaclava wearing robbers invaded the home of ex-Chelsea, player, Ashley Cole, carting away jewellery media reports can confirm.
The retired footie, now one of Chelsea’s youth team manager was reportedly tied to the chair while as the robbers ransacked his house.
The 107 cap England international was said to be horrified by the experience. It was not known if Cole was the only person at home at the time of the incident.The former player is in relationship with Sharon Canu.
A source said,”it was terrifying experience as the robbers must have deliberately targeted Ash as they sounded very professional and knew what were doing.”
Police detectives are still carrying out their investigations to identifying the robbers and have investigated some of the neighbours.
One of them said said: “police seemed to be taking it extremely serious and we have been on our edge ever since.
“Ashley Cole is one of the most high-profile people around here and hid property looks very modern and secure , so who ever did dis must have been clued up.
“People who know him are quite protective and it’s an area where everyone values their privacy so this has shaken up us a little bit.
“The police didn’t name Ashley Cole when they questioned us but everyone here knows it was his home that was targeted.”
Another neighbour said; “It happened a while back and the police seemed to want to keep it under wraps as they asked us not to talk about it.”
Cole whose house is located in Surrey in an area where many current and ex Chelsea stars lives.
