Olaniyi Mikail Afonja, popularly known as “Sanyeri” is a Nigerian film actor and producer.

The movie actor who recently celebrated his birthday was well honoured by family and friends. Here is a message sent to him by his wife on his birthday.

“Wishing my hero, my bestie, my honey, my husband, happy birthday. You’ve been a pillar of strength and encouragement to me, may almighty Allah grant you grace to continually be a source of joy to me, your entire family and all your fans, wish you long live and more blessings.

Born in Oyo state, NaijaOnlineTV gathered, as the first child of his parents, Olaniyi Afonja had his formal education at St. Michael Primary school, Oke-Ibo, Oyo state and Durbar Grammar School, Oyo town, in Oyo state where he had completed his secondary school education..

Olaniyi Afonja’s acting career started in 1992 after joining a theatre group introduced to him by a friend. In 1996, Olaniyi Afonja relocated to Lagos to further his career and has since starred in several Yoruba films.

Some of which are, Obakeye, Awero, Edun Ara, Jenifa, Opa Kan, Omo Carwash, Sekere, Mawe Ku, Sanyeri in London, Ibale, Apaadi, Olu Omo, Koboko, Salako Alagbe, Omo Iya Meji, Mama Do Good and many others. Sanyeri as he is fondly known in movies, is married to his wife, Omolara Afonja with whom he has two children, who are Boluwatife Afonja and Olasunkanmi Afonja.
