Those Who Look Down On Others, Don’t Make It In Life – Esther Ijewere
I was talking to someone few days ago about great people who truly make a difference in the world, and the challenges some have to scale through to make it in life.
Oprah Winfrey, J.K Rowling, Steven Spielberg, Steve Jobs , Kerry Washington, Lady Gaga Anna Wintour … the list is endless, these people were rejected at some point in life before they made it.
For Oprah, the first thing they did was to systematically disempower her because of the colour of her skin by saying she is unfit for television, but that propelled her to find her true calling.
I just want to encourage anyone who is passing through any phase of rejection or maltreatment either at your workplace or even among your family or friends, chin up, stay the process and focus on the goal.
Those who look down on others hardly make it in life, they think for the moment and use the power in the moment. You have more than the moment, you have a goal beyond the present, focus on that .
Above all, never take rejection personal! See it as a stepping stone to reinvent yourself and fulfill your God given purpose.
