Ugwumba Uche Nwosu celebrates Imo Women in Agriculture



It was a remarkable experience for Imo women yesterday at Umukabia, Ogodo in Ngor Okpala LGA of Imo State during the International Women’s Day event organized by the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND), when Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, Chief of Staff, Government House, Owerri promised to assist Imo women in agriculture scale up their agricultural ventures.

Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, who spoke through Remy Chukwunyere, the Special Assistant, Job Creation and Employment encouraged the women to embrace the new technologies in cassava production and palm oil processing being promoted by PIND, as they were developed to improve crop yield, and thereby increase the incomes of their families.

He thereafter assured PIND Foundation of the State Government’s support in all its development programs in Imo State and reiterated that PIND is the leading facilitator of development in the region.

Ugwumba Uche Nwosu also used the opportunity to wish Imo women, happy International Women’s Day celebrations.
