Unai Emery may be sacked if top 4 isn’t secured for Arsenal at the end of the premier league season
The pressure is mounting on the Arsenal manager.
Reports suggest the Spaniard will be sacked if the Gunners finish outside top 4.
Aubameyang and Lacazette will also leave the club to play in the Champions League.
According to the recent report from The Telegraph, Unai Emery will only keep his Emirates job if Arsenal qualify for the Champions League this season.
The report also adds that failure to finish in the top 4 or win the Europa League will force Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette to leave the club.
Aubameyang’s deal expires in 2021 while Lacazette is tied down until 2022 but the Gunners will find it hard to convince the duo to sign new contracts without the lure of Champions League football.
Arsenal find themselves fifth in the Premier League table after 10 opening games of the new campaign, four points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
Emery is believed to have had a face-to-face chat with director Josh Kroenke after the 2-2 home draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday, although the details of the conversation remain unknown.
